What are Steel Dowel Pins?

Steel dowel pins are precision cylindrical fasteners used to align and secure mating components in machinery and assemblies. They provide exact positioningshear strength, and load transfer between parts while preventing lateral movement. Unlike screws or bolts, dowel pins are press-fit or slip-fit into pre-drilled holes for permanent or semi-permanent alignment.
